My name's Sarah, Owner and Head Baker here at Corner Cottage. We are an independent bakery in the heart of the West Midlands, in between Stratford Upon Avon and Leamington Spa.
My passion and love for baking began as a child when I would spend countless hours in the kitchen with both my mother and my grandmother. I qualified as a baker after leaving school and went on to work for a bakery for 10 years before going off to university to study molecular biology. I then worked as a scientist for over 20 years. But as we all know baking is a science too!
At the beginning of lockdown I was made redundant, and i pasted the little shop and saw it was for sale. I booked a viewing and immediately fell in love with the old property, put in an offer and completed the sale in September 2020. Then the hard work began! It took seven months of blood, sweat and tears to bring the 200-year-old building back to its former glory.
Corner Cottage Bakery was born and very quickly the community of Kineton and beyond came to love us, as we did them!
